Ways to Give
We are excited to share with you the various ways in which you can invest in Valley School of Ligonier. Regardless of which option you choose, your gift will have an impact on both the current and future students of Valley School.
Valley School operates on a fiscal year calendar, running from July 1 to June 30. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Valley School accepts Visa and MasterCard through the online giving portal, which can be found by clicking here. For your convenience, gifts may be scheduled as a one-time gift or as installment payments for the remainder of the fiscal year. If you are looking for a unique payment plan, please contact the Development Office.
Checks can be mailed to the Development Office at any time throughout the year. Make checks payable to Valley School of Ligonier and note the intent of the gift (ex: Annual Fund). Your gift can be mailed to the School at:

Many companies offer programs that match charitable donations made by their employees, employees’ spouses or retirees. Contact your company’s human resources department to determine eligibility. This is a great way to double or even triple your donation.
Planned giving is an opportunity to help sustain the future of Valley School. For more information on how you can get the planned giving process started, contact the Development Office.
Gifts of readily-marketable securities or stocks, including mutual funds, benefit you and the School. You receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the appreciated securities you give. If you have held the appreciated securities for more than a year, you avoid capital gains taxes and qualify for a charitable deduction.
In addition to give appreciated securities as an outright gift, you may choose to make a gift of securities or stocks through a trust, thereby preserving income during your lifetime or the lifetime of your designated beneficiary. The tax advantages vary according to the plan you choose. Donors should consult with a tax advisor for more information. If your businesses pays Pennsylvania taxes, you may be eligible to participate in the EITC program. All funds raised through this program must be used for student scholarships. For more information, click here.
