Physical Education and Sports Philosophy
A child in today’s world needs to develop skills, knowledge, and enjoyment from human movement. Through a continuous program of physical education and sports, each student has the opportunity to perform and develop the motor skills he/she needs for everyday life and recreational activities. Interscholastic teams provide a framework for the development of team concepts, including the competitive values of winning and losing sportsmanship, and participation as a member of a team. In order to derive the optimum benefits from physical activity, coaches structure challenging, yet satisfying experiences in an effort to help players achieve success on the court or playing field.
