“I love outdoor adventures like kayaking, walking my English Setter, and spending time at our lake cabin. I do a ton of meal planning and prepping in Valley School’s kitchen, but I enjoy cooking, baking, and entertaining at home, too. Of course, these passions are all the more joyful when surrounded by my family!”

I graduated from Westmoreland County Community College, Youngwood where I studied Food Service Management and Diet and Nutrition Management. I started working at Valley School in 2001 after working for many years as a Supervisor in Food & Nutrition Services at Latrobe Hospital. I have always enjoyed working in Food Service, as I find it very rewarding to provide healthy and nutritious meals.

 

Valley School is a special place and I feel blessed to be a part of it. I have made many connections with students, parents, and staff over the years. Getting to know each student is the best part of my job. I have many great memories from over the years. Both of my children attended Valley School, and I loved having them here in this amazing environment.

 

I am so proud of the Food Services at Valley School. Looking across our bustling, happy Dining Hall and seeing students at the salad bar or sitting and enjoying family-style lunch gives me tremendous pleasure.

 

Outside of school, I enjoy outdoor adventures—hiking with my English Setter, spending time at our cabin by the lake, and kayaking. Of course, I also love to cook, bake, and entertain. It is fun to be creative in the kitchen. What I love most of all is spending time with my family.
