Is that George Washington in carbonite?! You bet it is! Congratulations to our 1st-place winners of this year’s Fort Days Parade Float Contest! We’re so proud of our students who conjured a super-creative theme this year and executed it whimsically and beautifully. The “Preserving Ligonier’s History” float reminds us that the past is always present. Bravo, Valley School! May the FORT be with you!
We’ve been back in school just over a month, and already Valley School has participated in numerous community service initiatives. Our service projects are shaped and driven by our students’ and faculty’s compassion, hard work, and devotion to making a positive difference in the world. Whether we’re cleaning a local volunteer firehall, doing yardwork for elderly neighbors, taking up a collection to support victims of Hurricane Dorian, volunteering at the Cannonball Dash, crafting bracelets for Miracles From Maggie, or collecting funds to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, we have a good time every time we give back.
Thank you to the golfers, sponsors, and volunteers who joined us on September 26th at Laurel Valley Golf Club for the 15th Annual Friends of Valley School Golf Tournament. After a rainy morning, the sun broke through, and provided a perfect afternoon on the greens. The participation of our extended community at fundraisers like this one enhances the everyday school experiences of all our students. We’re grateful for your support!
